Archroma is a thematic, lightweight Eurogame centered around bag management.

In Archroma, players are sorcerers who have just completed their first year course in Archromancy — the practice of colour magic. Now they must demonstrate their skills in their end-of-year examination. Who will come top of the class?

During the game, players need to create mana crystals in the six hues of magic (Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Magenta) which will provide the fuel for their spells. Each player is equipped with their own magic component bag, which provides the primary mechanism for creating new mana crystals.

The winner is the player with the most points at the end of the game. Points are awarded for each spell a player has cast, with larger spells and spells using more colours of mana worth more points. The scoring system rewards players for casting the widest range of spells they can, and for using a variety of the colours of magic.
