Ruthless Merchants (2023)

Ruthless Merchants is a tabletop game in the pick up and deliver genre. The goal is simple, hold 5 coins at the end of a round and you win. You can choose to play peacefully and perform deliveries. Or you can play aggressively and punch/throw rocks at other players to get them to drop their coins. There are 6 characters you can choose to play. Move them around the marketplace and interact with other players. You can play one of six actions each turn. Move, pickup a coin or item, deliver an item to your destination for coins, punch a player, throw a rock at a player, or take a nap to remove your dizziness. You will need to balance between being peaceful and collecting your coins through deliveries and aggressively stealing other players coins. The fun of the action happens around the turn mechanic which determines the order of play. All players choose their action card, places it in a pile and then the pile is shuffled. Cards are dealt from the pile which determines the order of play. This means you can play a punch card, but your victim might move away from you before you can strike. -description from publisher
