Basic West

Stratelibri translated the Basic RPG as "Basic - Gioco di ruolo universale" and supported it with original supplements. This is the first one to be developed and published: a sourcebok about a historically accurate Wild West after the end of the Indian Wars. The setting features cowboys, sheriffs, outlaws and all the classical characters of so many nvels, movies and comics. Following the example of "I Cavalieri del Tempio", the book includes a rich historical section with a chronology, notes on everyday life and comments about the Wild West as portrayed in movies. A section of special rules allows to better simulate the setting. Specific additional skills include "Lazo", Handle Explosives, Follow Tracks, Gamble, Drive Trains, Drive Wagons/Charts, Tame Animals, Foreign Languages, Pilot Boats, Read/Write. A whide range of firearms are detailed, from pistols and rifles to the deadly Gatling Gun. Saloon brawls with improvised weapons, shooting with two pistols at once and firing at moving targets are example of special combats for which special rules are given. The three adventures included are "Cacciatori di taglie" (Bounty Hunters"), "La grande rapina al Golden Express" ("The Great Golden Express Robbery") and "Un lavoro pulito" ("A Clean Job").
