This sequel to 2019's Modern Horizons follows up on its predecessor's success, introducing 256 brand-new cards to the Modern format, as well as 53 reprints, 48 of which were newly made Modern-legal with this printing.
Modern Horizons II is sold in draft boosters, set boosters, collector boosters, bundles, prerelease packs, and 3-booster draft packs—a significantly expanded product lineup compared to the original, which was only sold in draft boosters. Two showcase frame treatments appear in this set: a "retro" treatment hearkening back to Magic's original style, and a "sketch" treatment that replaces the normal artwork with an in-progress sketch version and the flavor text with a line from the art description that the artist was given.
