Kill Ball is a science fiction tabletop sports game for two players created by Gil Nicoll and Adam Watts. It uses tokens or minis on a gridded board to represent a match between two teams of human clones in a gritty arena environment.
Gameplay is an ultra-violent hybrid of handball and hockey. Clones are extremely disposable, and inflicting serious injuries and death upon the opponent’s team is a major part of the game’s strategy. A decapitation will add an additional ball to the arena which can also be used as weapon.
In leagues and tournaments, each player generates a unique team that carries on from game to game. Clones who suffer injuries or death in the arena will have temporary to permanent reductions to their stats, but are easily replaceable between matches. The ones that survive are awarded experience which can be used to improve attributes and purchase additional abilities.
