Counters with numbered arrows indicate the direction along which each player will pick their following placement as players wrangle their counters across the hex plan board. Each player is attempting to connect 8 pieces or encircle any of the other players with 6 of their own to arrive at one of the four winning conditions first.
Cultivating more than a single attacking option and pre-positioning outliers along the same line form the basis of strategy.
Each player has 28 turns to make or foil those 8 connections without becoming unable to place in line with their preceding directional arrow or becoming themselves encircled.
This means that a game might come down to the longest continuous line of either players pieces as that which distinguishes the winner.
