Objective: On the barren Planet of Gaia, players are Nature Spirits creating lush verdant lands, and giving rise to Life-Forms which come in three Species: CarniVores, HerbiVores, and Plants. But the swollen Moon, Vora, gazes hungrily from the night sky. It is jealous of Gaia’s life, and influences Species to eat each other! The objective of the game is for your Life-Forms to: Eat the Life-Forms of your opponents, Survive to the end of the game without being eaten or killed. Stand on top of many layers of Tiles. Gameplay: Each turn, rotate the planet 2 steps. (Spend one of your three "Star Tokens" to rotate it 3 steps, or only 1 step. You never get any more Stars.) Whenever a Land Tile rotates to the position under the Moon, Eating occurs there: Herbivores eat Plants, and Carnivores eat Herbivores. After rotating the Planet, choose one of the four corners of the board. The Sky Object printed there (Sun, Meteor, Rainbow, or Storm) will activate its ability on whichever location on the Planet has now been rotated beneath it. Life-forms are born under the Rainbow and the Sun, migrate out from under the Storm, and get blown up when the Meteor drops a Land Tile on them. —description from the designer
