One of only a handful of licensed games based on the John Carter of Mars saga by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Published by Heritage Models in 1978 and now very rare. Supported by a line of 25mm lead miniatures, also released by Heritage. The Handbook includes a miniatures painting guide, descriptions of the different races of Mars, and a set of man-to-man action rules for recreating battles on the savage world of Barsoom (whether as independent scenarios or as part of a role-playing campaign).
Also released around the same time by Heritage was a Barsoomian Battle Manual that provides rules for fighting out large-scale battles using miniatures.
