Arachnid Trap War (2013)

This is a 2 player abstract strategy game, playable on a Byzantine Chessboard. In the game, players will move their pieces and try to capture enemy pieces by bookending enemy pieces between their own pieces, so the enemy pieces get frozen so they can't move. A player will then end up moving one unfrozen pieces that is freezing an enemy piece and occupying a space to capture it. A player is also able to leave a piece behind, if the player doesn't move one of their pieces next to an enemy piece (or have that piece moving perform a capture).

The game includes 3 play levels, the first one without a King/Queen/Royal piece, and then a second which adds one Royal piece, and a third variant which has the player have two Royal pieces. Each level of play adds addition win conditions.

The trap and delayed capture are reused from the likes of King's Cross and Linebreakers.
