The Call of the Divine Expansion introduces a simple yet massively fun new mechanic to the base game.
With this expansion, players can call upon the Divine Cards in two scenarios:
when under attack, or
during their turn.
Each player may invoke the Divine up to three times per game, and it does NOT count as an action.
Upon calling, the player rolls a die to determine if the Divine
responds. If successful, the player can choose from one of three
piles of Divine Cards: Protection, Boost, or Wild. The effect of the chosen Divine Card takes immediate effect - for better or worse.
