Highly complex early European mathematical abstract game which illustrates the number theory of Boëthius. Played by intellectuals and mathematicians between the 10th and 16th centuries and used as a mathematical teaching method.

In 1985, a "modern" game variant basing on the base elements, called Rythmo, was published.
