The board game "Legacy of Old Rus'" is based on Roman Papsuev's unique universe, "Tales of Old Rus’." This fascinating world was created through extensive research into Slavic mythology. Beloved and familiar Russian folk tales from childhood, serious academic studies, fantasy genre traditions, and the aesthetics of the gaming industry all intertwine in a whimsical tapestry of art books and narrative literature.

Familiar notions of heroes and villains have been reimagined through the lens of modern popular culture, gaining new life both visually and narratively. During the game, you will encounter numerous characters, locations, and items that make up the world of "Tales."

The main goal of the game is to earn as much goodwill and renown as possible in the faraway kingdoms.

Players take on the roles of bogatyrs (heroic warriors) and polenitsas (female warrior-heroes from Russian folklore). Your choice of character determines your starting amulets and equipment, as well as a unique ability.

Each round begins with the first player rolling the path dice and the amulet die. Afterward, players plan their character's route from the starting points of the faraway kingdoms on their personal sheets.
