Blue Penguin (2024)

In Blue Penguin each player tries to attract the cutest penguins: the smaller they are, the cuter they are. The problem is that penguins always follow the bigger penguins.

Setup: Place the 5 “Color” cards face up on the table in the following order: Blue (1-12), purple (13-24), red (25-36), orange (37-48), yellow (49-60). Place the corresponding Value card next to each Color card in the following order: 2, 1, 0, -1, -2. Each player receive two “penguin” cards to form their hand.

Game: Starting with the first player and then clockwise, each player plays a 'penguin' card from their hand and then draws a 'penguin' card from the draw deck. When all players have played a card, the one who played the card with the highest number on it collects all the cards on the table and becomes the new first player.

End: when the players have played all cards the game ends. Each player calculates the score of the collected cards not by considering the numbers on them but the values associated with their colours.
Cards with highest numbers on them are the strongest cards but correspond to minus points! Cards with lowest numbers on them are the weakest cards but correspond to positive points!
The player with the most cuteness points at the end of the game wins.
