Blood Red Skies: Japanese Ace Pilot – Saburo Sakai (2017)

This is a mini expansion set for the WWII aircraft miniatures game Blood Red Skies by Warlord Games and designed by Andy Chambers. This expansion includes Japanese ace pilot Saburo Sakai and additional accessories to add to the core game.

Components included in this expansion are:

1 Advantage Flying Base
1 Aircraft Card
2 Aircraft Trait Cards
2 Double-sided Pilot Skill Discs
1 Saburō Sakai Ace Card
2 Ace Skill Cards

Saburō Sakai was the Imperial Japanese Navy's fourth highest ranking Ace. When war began he shot down the first B-17 to be lost in the Pacific theatre. During a mission over Guadalcanal Sakai was badly injured but still limped his damage plane home and reported to his superior before collapsing. Despite the loss of an eye, Sakai went on to score at least 69 kills.
