For many plentiful harvests, the Rock of Misfortune sat peacefully in the valley between two friendly villages, a solemn reminder of their once-troubled past.
Then came a year of drought, a time of fear and whispers. In their desperation to save their people, the leaders of each village betrayed each other attempting to push the accursed stone into the other village away from their own.
While this rivalry tested their endurance, cunning, and determination, the true challenge was not just moving the rock but overcoming fear and rediscovering the unity that once bound them together.
In Rokku, two Daimyos use their spells to engage in an epic battle working to outwit each other with the goal of pushing the Rock of Misfortune into their opponents village or bringing both Rocks of Prosperity into their own. Players start the game with their Daimyo on the board and 6 spells in reserve. Take 2 actions per turn choosing from moving, spawning, activating spells, or passing. Move any spell piece one space on the hexagonal grid, spawn one of your reserve spells onto your gate bringing it into the game, or activate a spell which allows you to push, pull, flip, swap, and other actions interacting with the other spell pieces and rocks on the board.
