Shattered Divinity: The 7 Fragments is a solo and cooperative JRPG turn-based campaign board game for 1 to 4 players. It's a 12-chapter epic where you'll follow me, the Fragment Bearer, as I hunt down the missing shards to restore a god. Along the way, you’ll face countless dialogue and narrative choices that shape our story and path. Each character has a backstory with optional side quests between chapters, and the main storybook alone is over 120 pages, with extra books for character stories and side quests. So we will be spending a lot of damn time together!
Combat in this game is no joke. Inspired by classic JRPGs, it's a fast-paced, turn-based system with a twist. You’ll form a team of four from up to eight characters, each with unique elements and abilities. The key is exploiting enemies' elemental weaknesses. Break their elemental shields and knock them to the bottom of the turn order. Each character comes with a basic attack, special abilities, ultimates, and party combos.
When combat starts, turn order is determined by the speed of enemies and party members. The party starts with one special ability point and gain another with each basic attack. Special abilities use these points, so plan strategically. Ultimate meters are separate, filling every five attacks, and can be used anytime, even outside your turn.
There are four combat slots: 1 and 2 for front liners, 3 and 4 for back liners. Enemies roll to target, with a 66% chance they'll hit the front line and a 33% chance they'll hit the back. These odds change based on enemy types, and some enemies have area-of-effect or cone attacks.
Winning combat earns party experience (exp). At the end of each chapter, spend this exp to get new talents, level up abilities, and more. If you fall behind, you can grind the "Random Encounter" deck, but excessive grinding means we will get a worse ending. There are also 12 special bosses between chapters for extra challenges and secret boss encounters in character and side quests.
Time to shut up and gear up. Let's go save the damn universe. If we fail, everyone dies—yeah, even the ones who already zombies and ghost.
