Les Reines du Shopping (2014)

Les Reines du Shopping (Shopping Queens) is a card game inspired by a TV game show of the same name. The principle of the show: five candidates must run around the shops to find an outfit that matches the imposed theme. For example: cocktail by a swimming pool. On their return, each candidate parades in front of their competitors who rate them. On the last day, each is rated by a professional stylist. The one with the best average wins the competition.

The board game is played in several phases.
- Phase 1. The theme.
A theme card is drawn at random.
- Phase 2. Shopping.
The "Clothing", "Shoes", "Accessories" and "Makeup" cards are spread out on the table. Timed by an hourglass, the players choose their cards. At the end of the regulation time, they must reject any items that would exceed the budget allocated by the theme.
- Phase 3. The catwalk.
Each player displays her cards and explains what motivated her choices. The other players give her a score. The average is then calculated.
- Phase 4. Stylist score.
On the back of the theme card is a colored star. Any card in the players' hands that has a star of the same color as the one corresponding to the theme earns its owner a point. The average of the fashion show scores is calculated with the stylist's score. The player with the best final score wins the game.
