Armored Genesis Mospeda: Valkyrie vs Regios (2011)

Armored Genesis Mospeda: Valkyrie versus Regios is the 2nd edition of Super Dimensional Fortress Macross: Minmay Attack. It includes all the previous material with the addition of Mospeda units.

The game is a doujin (fan-produced) game that was only sold at Japanese game shows. It was not made for the general public. To order, you had to place an order in advance. The game would then be made, and you would pick it up at the show. The game requires assembly.

This game reproduces the fleet battles that were fought in the world of “The Super Dimensional Fortress Macross”. It mainly deals with the First Macross War. In addition, the ships from the anime show Mospeda have been added to the game, so the players can do some Robotech battles between the Zentraedi and Hunter's expeditionary forces.

The game is a hex-and-counter wargame, typical of many wargame types, with ZOC's and CRT's. It comes with a map, counters that need mounting, player aids, and unit data sheets.

The sequence of play is:

Phase 2: Initiative Decision
Phase 3: Movement Phase
Phase 4: Stealth/Dimensional Movement
Phase 5: Air Operations
Phase 6: Bombardment/Missile Attack
Phase 7: Special Weapon Judgment/Special Action Execution

There are units for Zentraedi, Maltrandi, UN Spacy, and Mospeda.

The game required assembly of the counters. Players will also need to find a hex map to play on (although a small A4 map is included that can be photocopied many times to create your map).
