Nosh (2023)

Nosh is the world’s first charcuterie board game. In a world where charcuterie boards are ubiquitous (and sometimes don’t even contain charcuterie), they have become a staple for any kind of get-together. But how much do we think about the food on the board and the people eating from it as we enjoy a charcuterie board? Nosh was created to encourage intentionality around the charcuterie board as we think about the pieces we pick up and the people around the table with us.

As a unique offering that straddles the line between board games and kitchen products, Nosh is positioned to cover multiple purposes and markets. As a product, it can be used as a board game or as a keepsake charcuterie serving board.

Nosh is a board game - charcuterie display board hybrid. The board itself will be a wooden display board of near-keepsake quality, and will come with high-quality wooden pieces. The NOSH game will include:

Wooden playing / serving board
Wooden pawns
Nosh conversation cards
Plastic die
Nosh playing instructions

Because the game involves eating, it will be up to the players to provide the food that goes on the board, but a list of suggestions will be provided. In markets where we will do hyperlocal marketing, we will also partner with local cheese shops and retailers that sell charcuterie items to encourage local consumption.

The game is collaborative and not particularly competitive - the joy comes in building the board with your friends, sharing your thoughts on the discussion prompts, and enjoying a convivial environment to enjoy good food. As far as gameplay is concerned, comparable games include Chutes and Ladders or Candy Land. It is not intended to be particularly difficult, with the main focus being on the conversation and food rather than the game itself.
