KANPUR: El Desierto Florido (2024)

KANPUR: El Desierto Florido ("KANPUR: The Flowered Desert") brings up to four players to the vast and wide Atacama Desert, to witness how many species of flowers, within the wonderful landscapes of the driest non-arctic desert on Earth, bloom before and when spring arrives.

Players represent the north winds; they take turns drawing seed tiles, revealing cards that determine where water and sunlight will fall, and then strategically placing and/or moving their tiles depending on the flowers' requirements to bloom. Every flower, even similar species, requires its own conditions to show its colors.

Blooming is the main way to score, as well as Trophy cards that work as boosts for players to gain even more VP. Players use their wooden flower markers to track their score, and once a player fulfills a Trophy mission, that player keeps the card and the VP involved!

Rounds in the game represent one year seasons, changing weather. In addition, the board has different heights in the middle, making gardening a bit harder than expected, but no worries: Nature is amazing, as this phenomenon is seen every year in the "Norte Grande de Chile" (Great North of Chile).

The game has 4 game modes: Free for All, 2 vs 2, Solo, and Cooperative with 3 difficulty levels: Easy, Standard and Hard. Cooperative and Solo modes are challenges to overcome with strategy and skill.
