Rondol (2024)

A small-scale abstract strategy game inspired by Mancala. Rondol provides simple concept with surprising depth. Play is simple: pick up stacks of chips that you control and play them out either clockwise or counter-clockwise, placing each chip on a space. You can only pick up stacks that have your color on top. The goal? Control 4 stacks of chips in a row, or block out your opponent by controlling all available stacks of chips. Outwit your opponent to seize victory! Then play again.

Taking up a small amount of table space and easily carried, Rondol is great to take along and play most anywhere.

Create 6 stacks of alternating colored chips.
Place them in a circle.
On your turn, select 1 stack that has your color chip on top.
Drop all chips, 1 at a time in each space, going around until all chips have been dropped.
Objective: control 4 stacks in a row OR control all stacks on the table.

Use alternate rules and setups to increase depth of strategy.
