Masquerade (Pathfinder)

"Masquerade" is a floating village-theatre troupe on three barges in the world of Pathfinder. The actors hide a dark secret behind masks and gaiety: they suffer from leprosy and are on a perpetual pilgrimage seeking a cure. The worst-afflicted are kept hidden below. However, the true ruler of the village is an even more unsettling guest—an ancient vampire bound to the troupe by a solemn, unbreakable vow, creating a unique and tragic dynamic.
