Armor Leader - Normandy was published in On All Fronts #82 (November 1989). It is an operational-level game for Advanced Squad Leader, allowing play of a "monster" ASL game only using three mapboards at a time.
Players are provided with operational counters and an abstracted operational map; each space on the map represents three specific ASL mapboards. Players move from space to space and also rearrange their forces, which can split and join and also change from movement mode to set-up mode.
Rules are provided for resolving combat at the operational level. However, players may also resolve each combat with a seven-turn ASL scenario. Detailed rules are provided for transforming the situation on a given operational space into a scenario.
After 15 operational turns a player wins if they are the sole occupant of three of the four central operational spaces.
