Minoa is an abstract game with connective play for 2-4 players on a hexagonal board (divided into 96 triangles) and black and colored sticks.
On a turn, a player either places a neutral black stick in the inner region of the board or places a stick of his own color on the outer border. Sticks are placed on the lines of the board and hereby delimit regions. Black sticks must be placed so that if a completely delimited region results, this region includes at least one line on the border of the board. By doing this, at the end of the game each region can be assigned to a player, and whoever has the largest (combined) territory wins. The board has 96 triangles, each of which will be assigned to one player in the end, so ties are possible.
There are 24 exterior lines, each of which will be claimed by one player by the end: in a 2-player game, each player has 12 colored sticks; in a 3-player game, each player has 8 sticks; in a 4-player game, each player has 6 sticks.
