You are a dwarf and you are digging a hole, not just any hole, you are digging a mine. Along the way you will find treasure, hopefully enough to make you rich; but no promises. Pay attention to where treasure is as you dig deeper and deeper into the mine. Everyone can be a miner in Card Caverns!
Card Caverns is a solitaire roll and write game, that uses cards to help you build a map, and also shows you what you are allowed to draw on that map. Over the coarse of 9 rounds, you will be carving out a mine, using a dry erase marker. Collect gemstones, and items along the way that will lead you to being the best miner out there.
Once you have played the classic version, be sure to try out Challenge Mode. This will give you set objectives to try as you play the game.
Card Caverns was originally designed for the 15th Roll and Write Game Design Contest. The designer (Wayne Koenig) wanted to create a game that was played mostly in hand, which is why all the "rock formations," also show you what you must draw on the mine. We hope that you will print the game out and enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed designing it.
