1st El Alamein is a simplified simulation of the mid 1942 battle in the desert of Egypt that marks the high tide of the Afrika Korps in the desert.
Although the later battles of Alam Halfa and especially 2nd El Alemein are more famous, it was the Commonwealth’s survival in this July battle that stopped the Afrika Korps and saved Egypt.
