Competition Sudoku (2006)

In Competition Sudoku, 2 players race to solve the same puzzle. Instead of a timer putting pressure on you, or an app counting your moves and giving you a performance rating, here you have an opponent trying to beat you to the solution (and the only rating that matters: WINNER!) Simple instructions essentially teach how to solve Sudoku puzzles (for the uninitiated). The color-coded setup rules together with the ability to use numbered tiles (which are physically placed on the board) makes for a very forgiving system (for those who occasionally make missteps in their logic)—no messy erasers required! And everyone benefits from the ability to choose (from 4 levels of puzzle difficulty) the challenges that are right for their level of experience.
