Description from the publisher:
Kann: le combat is a confrontation game for two players, inspired from Jules Verne's book "20.000 lieux sous les mers".
One plays the "Nautilus" submarine and its crew while his opponent plays the giant Squid.
The Squid player wins if he meets any of these 3 conditions :
eat the captain of the Nautilus
eat 3 crew member (out of 10)
inflict 6 damages to the Nautilus
The Nautilus player wins if he cuts 5 tentacles (out of 6).
Each turn, both player roll two dice and use them on their dashboard in order to trigger various actions.
The Squid can throw ink (an attack meant to deal damages to the Nautilus), gather anger (anger points can be used to influence subsequent dice), deploy or retract his tentacles.
Tentacles do hit the Nautilus when they reach it, and can capture a crew member when deployed inside. In order to be eaten, a captured crew member has to be brought back to the Squid's mouth by retracting the tentacle.
The Nautilus player can move his crew members, rescue a crew member fallen to the sea, improve his moral (moral can influence subsequent dice), repair damages, and attack the Squid with axes, harpoons, or electricity.
