Vanaheim (2023)

A card based dungeon crawl with rogue-like rpg elements for 1+ players. Players pick a character from the melee fighter, tactical scout or magic using sage. Dungeons are randomly created from a map deck so cards are placed to create a sprawling dungeon. Each map card contains a chance of treasure or monsters, while a fast and simple combat system allows for high-threat encounters with a ton of loot to find as rewards. Quests and Adventures give objectives and opportunities to each game, but following these are your choice!

What makes this game stand out is that the Dungeons can be left at any (almost) any time so the character returns to town to sell their treasure and prepare for the next adventure - as long as you have the coins to pay for lodging! A full town phase allows the player to develop a settlement that gives them more opportunities and options in the next dungeon.

Characters develop, gaining skills and new items as they progress up to level 5 and fight the Fire Drake.
