The Doctor Who Miniatures Game allows players to recreate the drama of the Doctor's many adventures on the tabletop using miniature figures and scenery. One player takes the side of good, with the Doctor, his companions and some kind of troops (like UNIT soldiers). The other side is generally some dread alien menace seeking to conquer or destroy (Daleks, Cybermen, etc.)
Although weapons play a part in the game, they seldom are the winning factor for the good side. Instead they often rely on the Doctor to invent a device or discover a critical weakness of the aliens, and thereby save the world.
