Meeple Empires is an approachable Grand Strategy game set in the European Iron Age. The goal is to forge your empire’s legacy and secure its place in history. Expand by war and diplomacy, recruit epic Heroes, build marvelous Wonders and make brilliant Discoveries to collect VPs and effects that strengthen your empire. Players adapt their abilities by managing their selection of Command and Battle Cards in their hand. Play as Rome, Greece, Egypt or Carthage, each with their own set of 3 heroes, a unique legacy bonus and a starting Discovery. The are 3 phases per turn - Income, Action and End - and there's a maximum of 8 turns per game. If certain triggers are reached, the game will end early. The player with the most VPs at the end of the game is declared the winner. That player earns the title "The Great" and must respectfully be adressed as so for the rest of the day.
