One of the first games to use a set of different polyhedral dice.
This is a decision-less game where players take turns rolling dice, and tallying their score. The first player past a point threshold wins.
The rules as published:
The Game is called ZAZZ and it is played with the 5 Natural Solids (Polyspheres).
TETRAHEDRON - has 4 Triangular Faces
CUBE - has 6 Square Faces
OCTAHEDRON - has 8 Triangular Faces
DODECAHEDRON - has 12 Pentagonal Faces
ICOSAHEDRON - has 20 Triangular Faces
Instructions: Each player throws all 5 solids at once as he takes his turn. Player inspects top faces, particularly all 3 showing faces of the TETRAHEDRON. He then adds all pairs or matching numbers plus any number over 12 that appears on the ICOSAHEDRON.
Example: Throw shows TETRAHEDRON 1, 3, 4; CUBE 6; OCTAHEDRON 3; DODECAHEDRON 8; ICOSAHEDRON 14
Add 3 on the TETRAHEDRON to matching 3 on OCTAHEDRON to 14 on ICOSAHEDRON. Score is 20 points.
Bonus of 20 Points for a 3-of-a-kind
Bonus of 50 Points for a 4-of-a-kind
Bonus of 100 Points for BLAST OFF
BLAST OFF occurs when the same throw shows no pairs, 3's, or 4's-of-a-kind and the number appearing on the ICOSAHEDRON is under 12.
A cumulative score of 100 points or a BLAST OFF wins the game.
