From the box: "It's a thrill-a-move race through time and space! Can you be the first back to earth?
Age requirements are not specified. If you're old enough to read / count off the numbers on a card - you can play. On the other hand, if you're an adult, don't expect to be tactically challenged.
From the instructions: "The object is to move around the board covering all 4 Monster Planets and become the first player to get back to Earth Base at the center of the board"
Your playing piece is a "punch out & stand up" Tom Baker version of The Doctor. Movement is by card play. When you land on a black dot, you roll a D6 and take the action indicated. You might be moved forward, or back or stuck in place. Landing on a blue space allows you to take control of the TARDIS. This allows double movement next turn. Special cards (or a TARDIS) are required to move from planet to planet.
Best features. There are no "I play this & you're hosed" actions. The absence of these made for quieter games.
