This is a card and dice driven game for 1-10 players (that scales up to 5v5+ in Tag Battle and Multiplayer Modes) that pits super heroes and villains in a quick and frantic battle to see who can whittle the others' health down to zero the quickest. The dice act as accuracy levels while the cards rapidly execute Attacks, Defense, and Special Moves. Each individual character has their own Character Abilities, Tactics, Basic Attacks/Defense and Super moves to change the flow of the game as well.
In Capes and Villains, you are already in the heat of the battle. There are no preparation or equipment phases, no pre-planning or gradual movement into battle. Nope, you are there, getting your cape tightened around your neck or dishing out the pain yourself. Gameplay should seem a bit crazy and even spontaneous at times, but believe us when we say that under the mask is actually a lot of strategy.
Another Alternate gameplay scenario includes multiple players going up against one Super Villain. "Overpower" dice are added to expand on special abilities of a character's Super Villain persona (located on the back of each Character Card) to turn them into a super villain caliber.
