A game based on the folklore of the start of the Hoysala kingdom.
Kannada folklore tells a tale of a young man, Sala, who saved his Jain guru, Sudatta, by striking dead a lion or tiger he encountered near the temple of the goddess Vasantika at Angadi. The word "strike" literally translates to "hoy" in Old Kannada, hence the name "Hoy-sala".
The game is played on terrain consisting of forest gurukul, school village, and farmland with the terrain of water stream pathways (a graphic of terrain and to consider a single terrain board or randomizer of terrain tiles work is in progress)
There will be the hero who is making a choice to consider the advice given by the guru, student, village lady, and a farmer based on the sighting of a lion (random cards) and based on the movement outcome of the dice/cards MP the sala can move to the desired location on the map and place obstacles (traps and fence mechanism)
A random Cards mechanism (a staged order) will provide the sighting of the lion after Sala movement and placement. there will 5 lion appearances and movements using the Dice and directional outcome-based of the card. If you are able to capture the lions before it hits the central temple Sala wins( co-operative team) else lost.
